1. Feed the DJ mixer's left/right LINE outputs separately to 6.35 mm inputs 1/2. A stereo-to-single-balanced-input Y cable does not preserve stereo reliably.
2. Use appropriate LINE settings, including INST off as documented; avoid sending a hot DJ signal into mic/high-sensitivity instrument settings.
3. Confirm activity on both input meters, adjust gain to avoid clipping and record a 30-second test.
4. Select 2i2 stereo inputs 1/2 in the recorder rather than a single mono input.
5. Rear LINE OUTPUTS 1/2 feed speakers; distinguish these from DJ capture inputs and check monitoring separately from capture meters.
