Recording is silent or unavailable
These are general checks, not model-specific compatibility certification. Start at low volume and change one setting at a time.
Check in order
- Separate playback, recording meter activity and sound in the saved file.
- Check recording input/channels, destination and free space. Check official plan and streaming recording restrictions.
- Save a short test and play it in a regular player. Do not bypass recording restrictions.
- Audible playback does not prove capture. Check recorder device/channels and input meters, record 30 seconds of local audio and replay elsewhere.
- Record original settings, change one thing at a time and compare the same 30 seconds. Avoid updates or resets during a gig.
- If unresolved, record hardware, OS/app versions, trigger and test results in the support note. An untested step is not proof of a fault.
If unresolved
Record hardware models, OS/app versions, the last responding meter and test outcomes for official support. Do not infer hardware failure or a purchase requirement from unverified checks.
