Traktor + DJM: send decks to separate channels
These are general checks, not model-specific compatibility certification. Start at low volume and change one setting at a time.
Check in order
- Verify the DJM USB-audio/OS/driver support and select that device in Traktor.
- Choose External in Output Routing and assign A/B to separate stereo output pairs.
- Match DJM input selectors to the connected USB bank and test A and B separately.
- Check USB-to-physical-channel mapping in the utility/manual; use mixer cueing rather than internal-mixer instructions.
- If unresolved, record models, OS/app versions, OUT-to-IN routing, the last responding meter and comparison results in the support note.
Controls do not respond
- Check USB recognition and deck assignment first; audio routing is separate.
Controls work but audio/cue fails
- Start with Audio Setup and Output Routing, distinguishing master from monitor.
If unresolved
Record hardware models, OS/app versions, the last responding meter and test outcomes for official support. Do not infer hardware failure or a purchase requirement from unverified checks.
