No sound
These are general checks, not model-specific compatibility certification. Start at low volume and change one setting at a time.
Check in order
- Check whether playback advances and whether the software and mixer meters move.
- If meters move, check the output device, physical output and speaker input selector. Start at a low listening level.
- If meters do not move, check track loading, playback, input selection and the channel state.
- In rekordbox Preferences > Audio, inspect device and master routing; on Windows check any model-required ASIO driver. The OS default speaker does not necessarily control DJ output.
- Record original settings, change one thing at a time and compare the same 30 seconds. Avoid updates or resets during a gig.
- If unresolved, record hardware, OS/app versions, trigger and test results in the support note. An untested step is not proof of a fault.
If unresolved
Record hardware models, OS/app versions, the last responding meter and test outcomes for official support. Do not infer hardware failure or a purchase requirement from unverified checks.
