Prepare a set for a gig
These are general checks, not model-specific compatibility certification. Start at low volume and change one setting at a time.
Check in order
- Confirm set length, neighboring DJs, your role and venue hardware.
- Organize tracks by opening, development, peak and ending, with alternatives rather than a rigid script.
- Review a recording and packing list. This checklist is not an individual set evaluation or a guarantee of gig success.
- Confirm set length, adjacent DJs and venue hardware. Prepare opening/development/closing options plus shorter/longer-set alternatives.
- Record original settings, change one thing at a time and compare the same 30 seconds. Avoid updates or resets during a gig.
- If unresolved, record hardware, OS/app versions, trigger and test results in the support note. An untested step is not proof of a fault.
If unresolved
Record hardware models, OS/app versions, the last responding meter and test outcomes for official support. Do not infer hardware failure or a purchase requirement from unverified checks.
Reviewed: 2026-10-18. Check model/version differences in official documentation. This does not indicate hardware testing.
