Organize my music library
These are general checks, not model-specific compatibility certification. Start at low volume and change one setting at a time.
Secure backups of originals and the library before formatting, deleting or overwriting.
Check in order
- Choose up to three useful browsing dimensions such as genre, setting and energy.
- Test a tagging or comments convention on a small playlist first.
- Back up before removing duplicates or moving files. Identical titles may be different versions.
- Before deleting duplicates compare location, duration, cues and playlist membership; back up, start small and distinguish deleting files from removing entries.
- Record original settings, change one thing at a time and compare the same 30 seconds. Avoid updates or resets during a gig.
- If unresolved, record hardware, OS/app versions, trigger and test results in the support note. An untested step is not proof of a fault.
If unresolved
Record hardware models, OS/app versions, the last responding meter and test outcomes for official support. Do not infer hardware failure or a purchase requirement from unverified checks.
