Which cable do I need?
These are general checks, not model-specific compatibility certification. Start at low volume and change one setting at a time.
Check in order
- Write both hardware models and the output-to-input port names.
- Match signal, channel count and length, not just connector shape. A photo alone may be insufficient.
- Check supplied and existing cables first; record the missing specification in your support note.
- Read both OUT and IN labels. RCA stereo uses two plugs; XLR/balanced TRS normally carries one channel per cable, unlike a single 3.5 mm stereo lead. Verify in the diagrams.
- Record original settings, change one thing at a time and compare the same 30 seconds. Avoid updates or resets during a gig.
- If unresolved, record hardware, OS/app versions, trigger and test results in the support note. An untested step is not proof of a fault.
If unresolved
Record hardware models, OS/app versions, the last responding meter and test outcomes for official support. Do not infer hardware failure or a purchase requirement from unverified checks.
